Volvo Trucks reports that its four subsidiaries produced 4 percent more vehicles during the first 11 months of this year, compared to the same period in 2006.

However, aside from Nissan Diesel, production from the other three companies dropped overall by 12 percent. Deliveries from Mack were down 50 percent, those from Renault Trucks were up by just 1 percent, and Volvo Trucks sales dropped by 7 percent during the period.

In a press release, Volvo, the world’s number two truck maker, says demand in Europe continues to be strong, South America and Asia are progressing well, but the North American market continues to be weak.
